Doctor Who–Early Births & Deaths – Part 2

From time to time I’ve been writing up posts covering the activity of Doctor Who during particular calendar years. So far there are posts up for every year from 1963 to 1978.

Only in the last couple of these–1977 & 1978–have I started including notes about significant births and deaths of real-life people related to the series. That means there are fourteen years which I have covered in general, but not in this area.

Doctor Who: Shadow of the Daleks 1 [Big Finish]

The Big Finish sampler works! For only the second time, I think, I have gone ahead and bought something that I’d previously heard a portion of as part of Big Finish’s habit of releasing free samples of their work. In this case, the release is a collection of related one part stories that have been released as Shadow of the Daleks.

Doctor Who: Short Trips – Volume 02 [Big Finish]

Thanks to the wild world of inexpensive deals on a website called Humble Bundle, I’ve added all sorts of odd offerings from Big Finish Productions to my collection. These guys have been making original Doctor Who audio material since 1999. Most notably that’s been full-cast audio dramas featuring actors and characters from the TV series, but it has also expanded into all sorts of ancillary material.

One of these lines is Short Trips, which is a collection of short stories set in the Doctor Who universe. One of my purchases included four of these collections.
