Well, if you are enough of a fan of Doctor Who to be reading this post then you probably know that in the last couple of days there was a Doctor Who panel in the San Diego Comic-Con@Home event, featuring head writer Chris Chibnall alongside returning cast members Jodie Whittaker and Mandip Gill, and newcomer John Bishop.
So the word on the street is that Jodie Whittaker is going to finish up her time in the TARDIS after three seasons…which if true means after the current series, which is intended to air, I gather, later this year.
So the 2021 Doctor Who New Year’s special, written by head writer Chris Chibnall, has aired, and not surprisingly, it wasn’t perfect. But at the same time, it wasn’t terrible. There were goods and bads, so we’re going to have two posts about it…what I liked and what I didn’t like.
A few years ago, I did a series of 47 daily posts which all looked at different questions related to the revival series of Doctor Who, focusing on stuff I like about the show. I worked out a series of questions in advance and then picked one randomly for each day. I’ve decided to revisit the series to see how my opinions may or may not have changed, and to bring two of my daughters into the discussion, since they are both big fans and have recently finished watching the revival series.
