Planet of Evil [Classic Doctor Who]

Doctor Who has long been my favorite show, but there was a long period where I hadn’t revisited old episodes in any focused way. Lately, I’ve been going back through the show, especially since I’ve had access to the whole thing on Britbox. But lately, while traveling overseas, I learned that classic Doctor Who is actually being removed from the Australian Britbox. That prompted some quick watches on my part, to get through as much of it as I could.

Say Something Nice – Doctor Who: The Krotons

In an effort to find something quick that can be written as part of Daily Doctor Who, we are continuing with Say Something Nice, where I look back at each of the Doctor Who stories and pull out one or two cool things about it.

Genesis of the Daleks [Classic Doctor Who]

Doctor Who has long been my favorite show, but in recent years rewatchings of old episodes have been few and far between.  But lately I decided to spend both some of my birthday spending money and my Christmas spending money on some of these adventures, and enjoy them with one or two of my nerdier daughters.

The Deadly Assassin [Classic Doctor Who]

Doctor Who has long been my favorite show, but in recent years rewatchings of old episodes have been few and far between.  But lately I decided to spend both some of my 50th birthday spending money and my Christmas spending money on some of these adventures, and enjoy them with one or two of my nerdier daughters.

Blake’s 7–the Doctor Who Connections (Part 1)

So lately I’ve been writing up some ideas for fictional, Doctor Who crossovers–shows and concepts that could have theoretically crossed paths with the Doctor and his travels in the TARDIS, even as unlikely as it would have been for them to actually exist. One of the most obvious shows to do this with is a science fiction drama that ran for four seasons in the 70s and 80’s called Blake’s 7.

The Mind Robber [Classic Doctor Who]

I’ve written a few of these posts lately, which have mostly come about because of spending money I received, originally for my 50th birthday, and more recently for Christmas. I am enjoying rewatching these stories lately, especially sharing them with my nerdier daughters and seeing the stories through their eyes.

The War Games [Classic Doctor Who]

I’ve written a few of these posts lately, which have mostly come about because of spending money I received for my 50th birthday.  But like Talons of Weng-Chiang, last time, I’ve owned the DVD for this story for a long time.  Unlike Talons, I’d actually watched it before.  But I am enjoying rewatching these stories lately, especially doing it through the eyes of my nerdier daughters.

The Talons of Weng-Chiang [Classic Doctor Who]

I’ve written a few of these posts lately, which have mostly come about because of spending money I received for my 50th birthday.  In this case, however, I bought the DVD for The Talons of Weng-Chiang a long time ago.  I’d made a couple of false starts on it, but only now have gotten round to finishing it–motivated in part by my desire to show it to one of my nerdier daughters.
