Doctor Who Invades the Multiverse: Thunderbirds

Continuing our posts where Doctor Who has managed to sneak its way into other fictional properties, either as a TV show in those worlds, or with concepts from the show existing as real things in those realities, we come to something that I have heard of but never really watched, but is significant as apparently the first ever licensed appearance by the Daleks outside of Doctor Who: an early episode of Gerry and Sylvia Anderson’s Supermarionation series, Thunderbirds.

Doctor Who / The Avengers (Cathy Gale-era) Actor Connections

Lately, I’ve been going through some other movies and shows and finding where there are actors or creative talent that they have in common with Doctor Who.

Also recently, I finished going through all the “Emma Peel” episodes of the 1960s TV show The Avengers and blogging about each one (starting here), including noting when its guest cast were also people who made appearances in Doctor Who. I was struck by how much crossover there was.

Doctor Who has long been my favorite show, but in recent years rewatchings of old episodes have been few and far between.  But recently I decided to spend some of my 50th birthday spending money on some of these adventures, and enjoy them with one or two of my nerdier daughters.
