The Social Network [50 New-Old Movies for the 51st Year #11]

A couple of months ago, I turned 50 years old!  And to add to all the real life goals and challenges that that brings, I’ve created at least one as it relates to movies and this blog–watch a film I’ve never seen before which cam out in each year of my life (thus the “Old-New” terminology), and then write a bit about it.  This is Post #11.  Spoilers ahead.

So lately I made a Youtube video, for the first time (I’ve made films before, and put them on Youtube, but I never made a video specifically to just say stuff on Youtube) in which I share my 101 Films That I Love the Most. You can see the video and read all about it here.

In addition to making this video, I thought I’d also share it in writing—for easy reference in case you or I don’t feel like listening to me talk about this over 40 minutes of real time.

47 Movie Blogs #20 – 7 Genuinely Shocking Surprise Moments

On the surface, you’d think that this would be a similar list to the one a few days ago, about epic examples of foreshadowing and reveals in the film.  But glancing over what I wrote there, I find that not really any of those moments could be called moments of “Shocking Surprise” (maybe The Usual Suspects or The Sixth Sense).  So we’re talking about moments here that weren’t really foreshadowed, at least not in the obvious way.
