Doctor Who – 1986 – All the Years

Doctor Who – All The Years is a quick examination of what was happening in the world of Doctor Who over all its years of existence. I’m not attempting to create a thorough history–just brief look back at the real-life timeline of my favorite TV show. Go back to the beginning and read about 1963 here.

Sherlock Holmes, Blake’s 7, Jeremiah Bourne, Cicero–a Big Finish sampler

In the wake of the whole COVID-19 pandemic, Big Finish–most famous for their original and licensed Doctor Who audios–began to release a variety of projects for free on a weekly basis.  Some of these were related to Doctor Who but many others were based on different licensed properties or even completely original series.    tried to snatch up a bunch of the stuff when it was available, and have just recently gotten around to checking a bunch of it out.

Big Finish has been pretty generous with all this free product, but each one also serves as a sampler to tempt me to buy other material.  Do they work?

The judges will be myself and two of my daughters–Johanna (14-15 when we took these votes) and Laurelle (13-14).  The stories have been seeded according ratings on IMDb, and randomly broken up into two conferences–the Newman Conference and the Lambert Conference.

I’ll pick one of them at random (using this convenient random number generator) and then write up an answer. Continue reading 47 Days of Doctor Who–Day #34: Favorite Recognizable Guest Star
