Stuff I’ve Read, Watched, Done – May 12, 2022

In the last two weeks, my wife and youngest daughter have been away seeing my oldest daughter as she has finished her missions training program.  Then they went onto another place to see my wife’s family, including her father who is hot well.  My middle (and arguably nerdiest) child has remained home with me, as she is in the midst of her Year 12 studies, which are pretty demanding and certainly require her consistent attention.

But this has opened up room for a whole lot of TV and movies.

The Avengers, before they were Marvel superheroes, were light-hearted spies on British TV.  Dapper agent John Steed, played by Patrick Macnee, had numerous partners over the show’s run, but the most famous of these was scientific genius and martial arts expert Mrs. Emma Peel, played by Diana Rigg.

The Verdict [50 New-Old Movies for the 51st Year #26]

Mid-last year, I turned 50 years old!  And to add to all the real life goals and challenges that that brings, I’ve created at least one as it relates to movies and this blog–watch a film I’ve never seen before which came out in each year of my life (thus the “Old-New” terminology), and then write a bit about it.  This is Post #26–which puts me over halfway there. However, we are well over halfway through my 51st year, so I’ve got to step it up a bit.  Spoilers ahead.
