You know, I feel pretty busy, but maybe that’s just because I’m watching so many movies and television.
Mid-last year, I turned 50 years old! And to add to all the real life goals and challenges that that brings, I’ve created at least one as it relates to movies and this blog–watch a film I’ve never seen before which came out in each year of my life (thus the “Old-New” terminology), and then write a bit about it. The other day my wife and I celebrated our anniversary by going to see Jurassic World. You have may have heard of it. Apparently it broke all sorts of box-office records when it took in about 50 Squidzillion dollars in the first 30 seconds that it was out – such an impressive display of financial power that it made even the Marvel movies sit up and notice. (Hey everyone, dinosaurs are back in! How long until Marvel pays a cinematic visit to the Savage Land? Or maybe DC will step up to the plate and give us a movie version of the War That Time Forgot.)
