This is sort of a rambly post about Spider-Man: No Way Home which I saw last night…more soft of an extended commentary than a proper review.

The Social Network [50 New-Old Movies for the 51st Year #11]

A couple of months ago, I turned 50 years old!  And to add to all the real life goals and challenges that that brings, I’ve created at least one as it relates to movies and this blog–watch a film I’ve never seen before which cam out in each year of my life (thus the “Old-New” terminology), and then write a bit about it.  This is Post #11.  Spoilers ahead.  

Amazing Spider-Man 2: Rise of Electro

I finally saw Amazing Spider-Man 2!  (Thanks to all that recent air travel that I’ve done).

I wish I could say it was a great movie, but I can’t.

Of course, I almost always wish the movie I am watching is great (I mean, who wants to see a bad movie?), but in this case, it’s a particular shame because parts of the movie were great.

Not just good…they were great.  They were outstanding!

Amazing Spider-Man: Best Superhero Movie Ever, or Boring Tiresome Retread?

Or perhaps more likely, somewhere in the broad area in between?
