Doctor Who Timeline: Debuts & Departures Timeline

I found myself getting curious about the various ages of different actors and creators involved with Doctor Who over the years, and so today we have a little timeline that tells us throughout the years of when people were born, when they debuted on the show, and when they died (for those no longer living).

Doctor Who Trivia: Only True Whovians need try, apparently — Part 1

I was wondering what to write about on this, the 302nd day of my Daily Doctor Who year, and I struck upon the idea of looking at a Doctor Who trivial quiz online and seeing how I do at it.

(Daily Doctor Who #302…pretty obvious, right?)

Doctor Who–Early Births & Deaths – Part 1

From time to time I’ve been writing up posts covering the activity of Doctor Who during particular calendar years. So far there are posts up for every year from 1963 to 1978.

Only in the last couple of these–1977 & 1978–have I started including notes about significant births and deaths of real-life people related to the series. That means there are fourteen years which I have covered in general, but not in this area.

The Time Meddler: My Eleventh Doctor Wish-list

If I was an unscrupulous Time Lord with the ability to travel through the fourth dimension and to try to affect changes that I thought would make things better, there’s probably a bunch of stuff I’d do with my favorite TV series, Doctor Who.  Like many-a-fan (I assume), I’ve thought of these things from time to time, and I now I’m going to list them over a series of posts.

Doctor Who: The Diary of River Song volume 2 [Big Finish]

A little while ago, I wrote about some of the free samples that Big Finish was putting out in response to COVID-related lockdowns.  I ended up hearing bits and pieces of a whole bunch of their output.  As Christmas rolled around, I knew I wanted to spend some of my gift money getting the full story for at least one of those titles.  I chose The Diary of River Song, volume 2!

Doctor Who: The Tenth Doctor Tournament – Final Round

We are (finally completing the) voting on  Tenth Doctor Doctor Who stories starring David Tennant, pitting them against each other in an elimination tournament, with whichever story gets at least two out of three votes from our judges will move on to the next round. The judges will be myself and two of my daughters–Johanna (now 16–it’s taken me a while to get around to this) and Laurelle (14).  The stories have been seeded according ratings on IMDb, and randomly broken up into two conferences–the Newman Conference and the Lambert Conference.

Doctor Who: Looking Back at 47 Days #47 – Memorable Moments

A few years ago, I did a series of 47 daily posts which all looked at different questions related to the revival series of Doctor Who, focusing on stuff I like about the show. I worked out a series of questions in advance and then picked one randomly for each day. I’ve decided to revisit the series to see how my opinions may or may not have changed, and to bring two of my daughters into the discussion, since they are both big fans and have recently finished watching the revival series.
