The Social Network [50 New-Old Movies for the 51st Year #11]

A couple of months ago, I turned 50 years old!  And to add to all the real life goals and challenges that that brings, I’ve created at least one as it relates to movies and this blog–watch a film I’ve never seen before which cam out in each year of my life (thus the “Old-New” terminology), and then write a bit about it.  This is Post #11.  Spoilers ahead.

Over a few posts, I’m choosing different creators or creative teams–novelist, composer, scriptwriter, comic book artist, etc–who have influenced or inspired me, and in most cases brought me a lot of enjoyment.

“A Few Good Men”

I bought a DVD of Rob Reiner’s film A Few Good Men some time ago on one of those “Hey, this is a good movie!” sort of impulses, but never watched it until the opportunity presented itself last week. I was looking for a film to watch with some workmates – one of them is a big Jack Nicholson fan, and yet had never caught this film.
