I started making movies when I was 11. That is, I got a super-8 film camera as a present that year, and where my Dad seemed to want to use it to record a bit of family history, I just wanted to start experimenting. And so I did. Over the years that followed, I shot dozens of those little rolls of silent film. That led to video, 16mm film, and whatever else I could find to tell my stories.
