So a little while ago I connected with a fellow Doctor Who-fan on Facebook who is working on a variety of projects for different media. One of is a new online literary magazine called The Mocking-Owl Roost. On Facebook, it’s described as with the words, “Technically a literary magazine. In reality, a curated collection of unique fiction, nonfiction, poetry, interviews and lyrics from people of all backgrounds.”
(Daily Doctor Who #54)
Anyway, through this connection I ended up writing a short article for it about Doctor Who, called “Lament for the Time Lords” (though it is mistitled on the cover).
It’s my attempt to dissect some of my disappointment about the latest season of the show (Season 12, if you are reading this in the distant future), specifically to do with the unceremonious disposal of the Time Lords, without just sounding like a whinging old fan.
Anyway, I haven’t read the rest of the magazine yet, but if you want to have a look, you can follow the link here to the website. The link doesn’t seem to be working consistently but hopefully that will be cleared up soon.
My article is only two pages long and begins on Page 47, which is a coincidence that I appreciate greatly.
