In celebration of the Spoons of our life–ubiquitous but often unrecognized–Blue Towel Productions is proud to present the Daily Spoon, which we were are celebrating this September, the Month of the Spoon. #MonthoftheSpoon
Today’s spoon is one that I neither own nor did I actually use
Rather, I just saw it in a shop (Coles, to be precise), and I thought to myself, “Self, that looks like an interesting spoon, with an interesting shape. And cheap too–only $2!”
As you can see, the spoon is a “Risotto Spoon”, made of wood, from Coles’ “Cook & Dine” collection.
Anyway, I have never cooked risotto, and so I have never, as far as I know, used such a spoon. But I thought it was pretty cool looking.
Not only is it wood, but it’s solid wood, as the information on the spoon itself attests.
This thing ain’t hollow! (And so it’s better than those misleading chocolate Easter bunnies that were always lighter than you thought when you were a kid).
The manufacturers are pretty confident about their work, as you can see from the information on the back. “TRY IT. LOVE IT. OR YOUR MONEY BACK.” That’s bold!
If you try it and don’t love it, can you get your money back without actually returning the spoon?
Well, it doesn’t matter. I didn’t buy it. Instead, I left it on the rack, with where hopefully it won’t mind, because it’s an inanimate object.
Unless these guys are like those creepy toys from those Toy Story movies. Brrrr!
Anyway, join us tomorrow for more of The Daily Spoon, here on your favorite spoon-related blog’s presentation of The Month of the Spoon!
