In celebration of the Spoons of our life–ubiquitous but often unrecognized–Blue Towel Productions is proud to present the Daily Spoon, which we were are celebrating this September, the Month of the Spoon. #MonthoftheSpoon
Today I had another spoon in mind, but then I decided to go another direction and save that spoon for tomorrow.
So…if you were here yesterday, that might look familiar. Indeed, it looks pretty much exactly like yesterday’s spoon, with the “A” monogrammed, and the little wavy decorative lines…
…except for…the size!
That’s right, this is part of the same set that got from my aunt which used to belong to my grandparents, except in this case you are less likely to eat your cereal with it, and more likely to stir your tea. Or maybe have some yogurt out of one of those small little individual tubs.
It also has the same etching on the back (which I forgot to write about yesterday), where it says CUSTOMCRAFT ® STAINLESS JAPAN, which is fitting since that part of my family was from Japan.
Searching this online reveals lots of examples of similar flatware being sold on ebay and etsy, but no immediate information on the company itself, which is becoming a bit of a trend with these spoon companies.
Anyway, it’s a good spoon, and it makes a good part of our family set.
Incidentally, a quick check on Spoony from a couple of days ago reveals that he is no longer there are the corner where I saw him.
Hopefully he’s found his way to wherever life was taking him. May the wind be ever at your back Spoony, you little patron spoon of weary travelers.
You can join us tomorrow for more of The Daily Spoon here on Blue Towel Productions’ The Month of the Spoon.
